The Civic Trust
The Civic Trust is an independent, national organisation with charitable status. It is the umbrella body for over 800 civic societies, representing over 250,000 individuals committed to improving and caring for places where people live and work.

The East of England Association of Civic Trust Societies
The Civic Trust Societies East of England Group was formally established in March 2000 when the Constitution was agreed and the first Executive Committee elected.
It adopted its present title in April 2003.

Association of North Thames Amenity Societies (ANTAS)
ANTAS is an association of local civic societies working to ensure high standards of planning and architecture in our towns and villages, and the care and preservation of our countryside. It has a current membership of 22 societies mainly in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire

Hertford Museum
A local history museum in an early 17th century town house, enhanced by a charming recreated 'Jacobean' knot garden of intertwined hedges of box and lavender.
The displays depict Hertford's historic past as a royal borough, market for a large rural population and county town. The museum also contains the Hertfordshire Regiment Collection.
There is a changing programme of temporary exhibitions and the museum offers visitors the chance to find out about the history of the county town of Hertfordshire. |
